Question: How old must a student be to take the teen class?

Answer:

A student must be at least 14 to take the class. However a minimum age of 15 is required to complete the full course and receive the class C permit. Drive times may only be given after the student has received the permit.

Question: Is the school certified?

Answer:

Our school is licensed by the state of Texas. All of our
instructors are certified by the TEA (Texas Education Agency) to give driving lessons and teach class.

Question: How long does it take to complete the full teen course?

Answer:

The teen classroom is four weeks long, Monday through Friday except Wednesday. The drive times may begin as soon as the student gets his permit.

Question: What is needed in order to start the class for teens?

Answer:

All that is needed to start the class is the student\\\’s signature and the student\\\’s guardian\\\’s signature on the contract, and a down payment of at least $200.

Question: What if a student has to miss a class?

Answer:

A student can miss a total of 4 classes throughout the four week period. All missed classes must be made up. Make up dates can be discussed with the instructor.

Question: What happens if the certificate showing completion of drivers ed is lost?

Answer:

There is a $25 fee for replacing a lost certificate showing completion of the course.

Question: Do you have to give the original documents (birth certificate, Social Security Card)?

Answer:

Yes, due to plagiarism the DPS only accepts original documents.

Question: After completing the course, what is the procedure for getting the license?

Answer:

When the course is completed and all the money is paid, We will issue a DE-964 (a certificate showing completion of drivers ed.).
After the student has held his/her permit for 6 months and is 16 years of age then a trip is made to the DPS. Student is supposed to take a driving test at DPS and when they pass the driving test, DPS will issue the student their license.
