
Teen Driving Classes
Classroom
The Teen Driver’s Ed. Program includes 16 lesson in the classroom, that is 4 weeks and 7 lessons of Behind the Wheel. The full course costs $390. An application signed by both the student and a guardian is needed to start classes. A pen and a notebook should be brought to all classes. Class hours can be taken as young as 14 years old. The classes are two hours long. They add up to a total of 32 hours as regulated by the state.
Full Course
A minimum age of fifteen is required for the full course including behind the wheel instruction and the permit test. The full course is designed to be completed in a four week period with the permit issued.
Permit Test
The permit test is given at the end of the first week and it covers knowledge of road signs, signals, and road rules. A vision test will be given as well before the permit test.
According to the new implement of the DPS, teenagers (under 18) are require to go to DPS office with their parents, as they will issue Instruction Permits (Leaners Licenses) with Biometric Photograph. The Drive Times are scheduled once the student get their Instruction Permit.
To comply with Driver’s License new requirement, a teenager must drive 10 hours during day and 10 hours at night with parents in addition to the Driving School.
Drive times may be scheduled according with the students schedule. They are designed to be scheduled flexibly. The students go out in groups of two with one of our instructors. They each drive for one hour and observe for one hour at a time. Classes will be held from 5:00PM TO 7:00PM.

According to the new law, all teenagers are required to go to DPS Office as they will be issued Instruction Permit (Learner’s License) with Photograph and security features. Parents have to take their kids to DPS once they have all the required documents to be shown to DPS, listed below line 4.
**Required Documents:
- An Application signed by both the student and a guardian
- A payment of $390.00 cash or check.
- A black ink pen and a notebook should be brought to all classes
- Documents to be shown to DPS:
- Certified Birth Certificate (No foreign birth certificate accepted, must have resident alien card, passport with visa, Texas id or citizenship papers)
- Original Social Security Card
- A valid TEA Form (proof of enrollment obtained from school office) – Valid for only 30 days from the date issued.
- Forms given by us – DE964 & DL-14A (permit application form given by instructor on Day 1)
- $6 for 18 below and $26 for 18 and above, which is submitted to DPS Office for Permit Application.
